Uit eerder onderzoek blijkt dat vrouwen met borstkanker specialistische nacontrole prefereren boven nacontrole door de huisarts.
Wat is nieuw?

Hoewel de meerderheid van de patiënten in ons onderzoek een voorkeur had voor specialistische nacontrole, zou meer dan de helft nacontrole in de huisartsenpraktijk accepteren.

Dan zou wel de communicatie tussen huisarts en specialist goed moeten verlopen en zou de huisarts voldoende kennis over nacontrole moeten hebben. Patiënten noemden zowel voordelen als belemmeringen ten aanzien van nacontrole in de eerste lijn.
